The creation of ‘We’ Hostel in São Paulo, Brazil, was the realisation of a dream for architect Felipe Hess. The opportunity to create a design hostel was one that Hess simply couldn’t refuse, ‘One of my best friends, Guilherme Perez, who I have known for over 15 years, called me one day and said that he wanted to start something new. He wanted to create a new hostel in São Paulo; the first design hostel in the city.’ The result of this ambition, joint vision and friendship is now a special building that stands as testament to a lot of work and even more talent.










The transparent fabric domes of the Elqui Domos hotel connects guests easily to the beauty of nature as well as the sparkling wonders of the night sky in Chile. This small 10-year old structure designed by Rodrigo Duque Motta sits in a valley between the Andes Mountains that is known for its clear skies, good weather and its great potential for wine growing. The hotel includes several single wooden cabins with clear fabric domes and a restaurant/lobby.






Outside Changzhi, China in a rural little village, the shipping container emergency houses that exists there inspired Beijing firm Tonghe Shanzhi Landscape Design to create an amazing five-star hotel out of shipping containers. The Xiang Xiang Xiang Pray House is a hotel built from 35 containers. It has 21 small cozy rooms for guests to kick back, shake off their worries and relax in. This luxurious place was first built off site and was then shipped to the location for the finishing touches. It took three months to design, build, transport and finish the overall construction.








Los Angeles based interior designer Rachel Horn created a luxurious airstream-hotel in Moroccan style, the decorations are subtle and luxurious. This is the dream hotel on wheels complete with kitchen, bedroom, a full bath and even a re-circulating air conditioning unit.







The Daniel Hotel is smart urban luxury at its finest; the 115 beautifully designed rooms spread of six floors feature a queen size bed for one or two persons. The simplistic and ornamentation free rooms all have exposed concrete ceilings giving off an industrial vibe contrasting with its high-quality materials to complete a picture of modern luxury. Complete with the Daniel bakery in the lobby, offering a relaxed atmosphere where white prevails with a truly unique vintage styled interior.














Designers Michele Corbani and Andrea Spada of ILMIODESIGN gave this urban hotel a mix of English traits and an informal and colorful style. Inspired by the figure of a typical English gentleman, the ceiling upon entry is filled with traditional English hats, its luggage room is decorated with stacks of vintage suitcases. Designer Spada says “The bowler is not a simple hat anymore; it becomes an element that, when repeated thousands of times in an unpredictable way and at different heights, creates a moving and wrapping surface.”
